About MEER AN VEER

MEER AN VEER began the way most meaningful things do not with a business plan, but with a feeling.

We are Emma and Nishant, an Indian–Dutch couple who met while working in hotels in London, fell in love somewhere between the lobby and the long shifts, and eventually found our way to the Netherlands, where we now live with our two children, Meera and Ranveer - the names behind MEER AN VEER.

For years, travelling to India meant coming home to something. To colour, to texture, to the particular kind of noise that Indian cities make in the early morning. But also, to craft. To workshops where families have been weaving for generations, where a rug takes weeks to finish, and where the person making it knows exactly what they are doing and why.

We started bringing pieces back. Friends noticed. Then friends of friends. And slowly, what had always felt personal began to feel like something worth sharing.

Every rug is handmade in small batches using natural wool and cotton, made by weavers we know and trust. No mass production. No shortcuts. Just considered craft, brought into your space.
